NEW DELHI -- Eight people were injured Thursday evening after a private small aircraft crash landed amid heavy rains at the airport in India's Mumbai, local media reported.

Eight people, including three crew members, were on board when the plane skidded off the runway and snapped into two parts on landing. (India-Accident)

MANILA -- The National Library of the Philippines on Thursday inaugurated the Chinese Bookshelf, an addition of Chinese books to the facility's already diverse collection, to promote cultural understanding between the two countries.
