WELLINGTON, May 30 (Xinhua) -- New Zealand Defense Minister Andrew Little will depart for Singapore on Wednesday to attend the 20th Shangri-La Dialogue.
"Shangri-La brings together many countries to speak frankly and express views about defense issues that could affect us all," Little said on Tuesday.
New Zealand is a long-standing participant in the Shangri-La Dialogue, as it faces an increasingly complex geostrategic environment, and the effects of climate change in the South Pacific, he said.
The event will take place on June 2-4.
